ASSESSMENTS
Senior HR Situations
Assessment
Designed specifically for Executive HR candidates (HR Managers,
Directors, and Vice Presidents,) the assessment focuses labor
law and HR practices in human resources management. The comprehensive
answers (in either outline or essay format) demonstrate the executive's
ability to think strategically as well as give examples of their
written communication skills.
HR Situations
Assessment
All exempt level candidates (Generalists, Specialists and HR
Representatives) have an opportunity to show their skills and
experience levels on this assessment. Six questions, ranging
from terminating a protected class employee, alleged sexual harassment,
and counseling management regarding a layoff, highlight this
tool. Answers are requested in either outline or paragraph essay
format.
Employment
Law Assessment
Developed internally, this
tool allows our candidates to demonstrate their factual knowledge
of everyday California and Federal employment law. Areas represented
on the thirty-plus multiple choice question assessment include:
Americans with Disabilities Act; Title VII; payroll issues; allowable
meal and break times; I-9; exempt, non- exempt and independent
contractor classifications; Family Medical Leave Act and FEHA;
SB198; pre-employment questions (EEOC), etc..
HR Support Assessment
This instrument allows our
non-exempt candidates (HR Assistants, Benefits Assistants, and
Compensation Assistants) to demonstrate their knowledge of basic
labor laws and practices. While not as comprehensive as our Employment
Law Assessment, it enables us to successfully match our candidates
with opportunities.
Recruiting Assessment
This tool requires Recruiters,
Staffing Specialists, and Generalists with an emphasis in Recruitment,
to demonstrate their knowledge of recruitment practices. The
assessment also allows candidates to demonstrate their writing
ability in creating text for a classified advertisement or web
page posting.
The Interview
As every human resource professional
knows, analyzing a resume and written instruments are only part
of assessing a person's skills and aptitudes. That's why every
HR ONLY candidate undergoes an extensive interview in person
with one of our knowledgeable candidate services representatives.
The interview not only confirms the candidates' HR knowledge,
but their ability to articulate their expertise, goals, and objectives.
References and
Educational Verification
As seasoned HR professionals,
we have all seen examples of "resume enhancement."
While legal precedents have made full disclosure during reference
checking difficult, the information received is vital to us in
matching our professionals with our clients' needs. Consequently,
every HR ONLY candidate has a minimum of two former employers
referenced, as well as all applicable degrees and certificates
verified.
Background Investigations
Criminal history, Social Security number trace, DMV report, and
Drug Testing programs are also available per client request.
