How are jobs are categorized: Interim Assignments Interim positions last an average of two-three months, sometimes longer. Unlike contract work where you're responsible for all statutory deductions, HR Only pays the employer portion of employment taxes and workers' compensation insurance, and you'll receive a W2 instead of a 1099.You receive a paycheck for every week you work as well as eligibility for HR Only's wonderful benefits. Interim-to-Hire Interim-to-Hire positions are an excellent option in these volatile times. Not only does the company get to know you and your skills before offering you a position, but you have an opportunity to "audition" the company to get a feel for the position and the company before you commit.
